Beringer and Reeves Help Timberwolves Bench Produce 68 Points

Minnesota gets efficient scoring from two reserves

Joan Beringer and Antonio Reeves each scored 12 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves’ bench helped deliver a 116–97 preseason win over the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum on October 5 US time, October 6 in the Philippines.

Beringer added seven rebounds and a block in 15 minutes and 16 seconds. He made five of eight shots and two of four free throws, giving Minnesota efficient scoring and rebounding from its reserve frontcourt.

Reeves’ shooting line was even cleaner. He made all five of his field-goal attempts, including both three-pointers, and added three rebounds, two assists and a steal in exactly 12 minutes. His 12 points matched Beringer’s total despite fewer attempts and a shorter appearance.

The wider bench supplied substantial support. Zyon Pullin scored 10 points on four-of-five shooting, while Terrence Shannon Jr. and Cody Williams each recorded four assists. Minnesota’s starters combined for 48 points; subtracting that from the team’s 116 leaves 68 points from reserves.

That bench total should be read alongside the preseason rotation. Twenty Timberwolves played and no individual reached 19 minutes, creating more opportunities for reserve production than a typical regular-season distribution would provide.

Minnesota entered the fourth quarter ahead by five and won the period 35–21. Beringer’s finishing and rebounding, Reeves’ perfect shooting and contributions across the bench gave the Timberwolves several useful performances to assess beyond the final margin.
