Bradley Beal Misses Clippers Camp Start With Knee Issue

Bradley Beal has right-knee inflammation after recovering from hip surgery. His Clippers camp absence does not establish an opening-night ruling.

Bradley Beal Misses Start of Clippers Camp With Knee Inflammation

A knee issue delays Beal’s start to camp

Bradley Beal will miss the start of Los Angeles Clippers training camp because of right-knee inflammation, according to a September 28 update reported by The Athletic’s Law Murray and relayed by RealGM and RotoWire.

Beal has recovered from the hip surgery that ended his previous season. The knee problem is therefore a separate issue affecting his availability as preparations begin, rather than evidence that his hip rehabilitation remains incomplete.

The guard appeared in only six games last season, averaging 8.2 points, according to RealGM. His limited playing time makes consistent practice and game participation an immediate priority for his return, but the latest report does not establish when he will resume full work.

Missing the beginning of camp does not, by itself, determine his availability for the regular-season opener. A firm return date was not supplied in the updates reviewed for this article.

Further information from the Clippers will be needed to establish his progress, preseason participation and eventual game status. For now, the confirmed reporting concerns the opening of camp and the right knee.
