Rollins’ scoring comes with a costly foul total
Ryan Rollins scored a Milwaukee-high 15 points but accumulated six personal fouls in 14 minutes and 14 seconds as the Bucks lost 116–97 to the Minnesota Timberwolves at Fiserv Forum on October 5 US time, October 6 in the Philippines.
Rollins made six of 12 field-goal attempts, including two of seven three-pointers. That left him four for five on two-point attempts, a productive return inside the arc on a night when Milwaukee struggled in that area as a team.
He also recorded four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block without a turnover. The six fouls, however, limited a performance that otherwise supplied Milwaukee’s largest individual scoring total.
Rollins started with Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kyle Kuzma and Myles Turner. Herro scored 11 points, Turner seven, Jaquez five and Kuzma one. The opener gave that group a first preseason appearance together under coach Taylor Jenkins.
The Bucks’ bench received 14 points and 12 rebounds from Kel’el Ware, while Gary Trent Jr. added 11 points. Rookie Brayden Burries recorded five assists, another contribution to Milwaukee’s 19-assist total.
Milwaukee cut Minnesota’s lead to five points through three quarters but could not sustain the challenge in the fourth. The Timberwolves won that period 35–21.
Rollins’ scoring efficiency on two-point shots was a positive for Milwaukee. Staying available for longer stretches is the next issue raised by this specific box score, although one foul-heavy preseason appearance cannot establish a lasting pattern.
