Suns Beat Spurs 102–98 Without Devin Booker in Preseason

Kennard and Maluach make their starting opportunities count

The Phoenix Suns beat the San Antonio Spurs 102–98 at Mortgage Matchup Center on October 10, with the game finishing on October 11 in the Philippines. Phoenix recorded its first preseason win while Devin Booker and Miles Bridges sat out.

Luke Kennard scored a game-high 20 points on eight-of-15 shooting, including four three-pointers. He added five rebounds and four assists in 25 minutes while filling a starting role with Booker resting.

Khaman Maluach contributed 10 points and 15 rebounds in his first start of the exhibition schedule. Jalen Green scored 18 and Dillon Brooks added 15.

Phoenix led 35–25 after the opening quarter and 58–51 at halftime. The advantage stood at 85–73 entering the fourth before San Antonio reduced the margin during the closing stretch.

The Suns moved to 1–2 in preseason. Kennard’s shooting and Maluach’s rebounding supplied the clearest individual contributions as Phoenix tested a different starting combination ahead of the regular season.
