Walker supplies creation from Indiana’s bench
Jarace Walker recorded 10 assists as the Indiana Pacers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 123–112 at Hilton Coliseum on October 7, October 8 in the Philippines. The forward added seven points and five rebounds in 28 minutes while committing one turnover.
His passing provided a separate storyline on a night centered on Tyrese Haliburton’s return. Walker made three of six shots and finished with a plus-18 rating, according to Sports Illustrated’s Pacers report. That single-game measure reflects Indiana’s scoring margin during his minutes, rather than an individual assessment of every possession.
Indiana also used a smaller combination with Obi Toppin at center, Pascal Siakam at power forward, Walker on the wing, Kelly Oubre Jr. and Andrew Nembhard. The same report linked that unit to a 15–0 run. T.J. McConnell did not play because of injury.
Walker’s performance showed another source of ball movement while the Pacers explored their rotation. It was a preseason contribution, not confirmation of a permanent role. Indiana’s next games will provide a larger sample of how those combinations function together.
