Dončić Scores 45 as Lakers Hold Off Raptors 131–125

Los Angeles survives a fourth-quarter Toronto comeback

Luka Dončić delivered 45 points and 15 rebounds as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Toronto Raptors 131–125 at Crypto.com Arena on November 1 in the United States, November 2 in the Philippines. The Lakers improved to 5–2 after surviving a late challenge to a lead that had reached 26 points.

Dončić made eight of his 12 three-point attempts and added six assists and five steals. Walker Kessler contributed 16 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks, giving Los Angeles another substantial presence around the basket. Austin Reaves scored 19 and Collin Sexton added 14.

The closing minutes were considerably tighter than the first three quarters suggested. Los Angeles led 104–82 entering the fourth, but Toronto reduced the margin while Dončić rested. According to Field Level Media's report carried by Reuters, his return produced a reverse layup that stopped a 9–0 Raptors run and began a 9–1 Lakers response.

Scottie Barnes led Toronto with 29 points. RJ Barrett added 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Jamison Battle scored 20. The Raptors continued pressing and came within five points in the final minute before Los Angeles secured the result.

The Lakers shot 53.8 percent from the field but committed 24 turnovers. Those figures explain both sides of the performance: efficient scoring created room to lead comfortably, while lost possessions helped Toronto stay involved. Los Angeles left with a win, but the narrowing margin showed why its possession management mattered even during an outstanding individual scoring night.
