Guimarães Completes Arsenal Comeback in 2–1 Win Over Leeds

Two goals in eight minutes turn the match

Bruno Guimarães scored the winner as Arsenal came from behind to defeat Leeds United 2–1 at the Emirates Stadium on October 10. Riccardo Calafiori had equalised after James Justin gave the visitors the lead.

Leeds created several opportunities before Justin converted in the 55th minute. David Raya’s earlier saves had kept Arsenal level through a difficult opening period.

Calafiori answered in the 62nd minute following work down the flank from Noni Madueke and a ball across the area by Ben White. Eight minutes later, Declan Rice’s flick released Guimarães, whose finish completed the turnaround.

The victory restored Arsenal’s winning form after their defeat at Brighton before the international break. It also ended Leeds’ unbeaten start to the Premier League season.

Arsenal drew level on points with Manchester City at the final whistle, although that was a provisional position with other weekend fixtures still to be played.
